You know what haven’t we had since 2016? Besides sanity and a general sense of well-being, that is? Joanna Newsom live in concert! This fall, Joanna will be playing for the first time in a long time, only (for now?) in New York, Philadelphia, Milwaukee and Chicago. These will be a rare and intimate performances by Joanna alone: solo voice, harp and piano.  Joanna’s Milwaukee shows will take place in the historic and intimate setting of the Irish Cultural and Heritage Center located in the landmark Grand Avenue Congregational Church building just west of downtown.

The historic Irish Cultural and Heritage Center supports the Irish Community by serving as a venue dedicated to enhancing, promoting and preserving Irish culture and heritage, and serving the community at large. From the stained glass windows and beamed ceiling to the modern lighting and sound system, this historical building will be an incredible setting for Joanna Newsom’s performances.

This impressive Edward Townsend Mix limestone structure retains almost all of the original features from its construction in the 1880s. It now is the home of a wide range of cultural and educational programs and the site for concerts, lectures, art exhibits, dances, Irish music classes, and a center for genealogical research. 
 
For years, Irish Americans in the Milwaukee area dreamed of creating an Irish community center. In the early 1990s, a determined group set about the task to preserve their heritage. On March 25, 1992, the Irish Cultural and Heritage Center of Wisconsin, Inc. was incorporated and later received 501(c)(3) designation. Many Irish organizations were included in the initial planning and fund-raising efforts. Today, the ICHC is run by a board of directors. Hundreds of volunteers maintain the facility and make all the activities possible. More than 200 entertainment acts have performed at the Center since 1997.

There are several ticket resellers and secondary markets selling tickets to our events. Ticket resellers often try to mimic our website to appear legitimate. However, the ONLY official website for The Pabst Theater Group venues is www.pabsttheater.org. Please note: we set up occasional offers through sites including, but not limited to: Groupon, Goldstar, official artist websites and their official fan clubs. If you have any questions regarding the legitimacy of a secondary outlet selling tickets to our shows, please call our box office directly at 414-286-3205.

If you are interested in an event that has already sold out, please sign up to become an eMember and follow us on social media – we will announce any releases through those channels. Do not buy from a third party or ticket scalping company.

Purchasing tickets from any other seller or website runs a very high risk of receiving fraudulent and/or invalid tickets.

Please note that group rates are typically offered for groups of 20 or more, but are sometimes offered for groups of 10 or more. Discounts range from 10-20% but vary from show to show (not all shows support a group rate due to high demand or other restrictions).

Bag Policy - Please Read

SMALL PURSES ONLY, PLEASE. PURSES ARE SUBJECT TO SEARCH

To efficiently create a positive and safe experience for all patrons, only small purses (13″W x 4″D x 9″H and smaller) are allowed into the theater and all are subject to search.

All other bags including backpacks and oversized purses are strictly prohibited and bag storage is NOT available at The Pabst, The Riverside, Turner Hall Ballroom or The Back Room @ Colectivo.

THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE PROHIBITED AND ARE NOT ALLOWED INTO ANY OF THE VENUES.

Weapons, laser pens, signs, banners, electronic smoking devices (vapes, Juuls, etc.), oversized bags, backpacks, outside food and beverages including water, cans, bottles, alcohol, illegal substances, iPads/tablets, selfie sticks, laptops, professional audio recording devices (unless approved by artist), and any professional photography equipment. The use of vape pens inside the venues are prohibited as well.

PLAN AHEAD: LEAVE YOURSELF EXTRA TIME

Plan to arrive 30 minutes before you want to be in your seat to allow time to go through our security check. Please leave large bags at home or in your car.
