We can’t think of a better way to welcome local artists back to our stages than with a night of stompin’, hollerin’ and pluckin’ around with Milwaukee’s own Chicken Wire Empire! They’re a progressive bluegrass band from right here in The Good Land, and they’re helping us #ReviveLiveMKE in a whole new way at Turner Hall Ballroom and in your living room.

CWE’s five members have spent a lifetime honing their craft, with deep roots in bluegrass, jamband, classical, and other genres.  On the first day of 2019, CWE released their sophomore album, “What Moves Mountains,” locally sourced, grown, recorded, mixed, and mastered in their home turf of Milwaukee Wisconsin.  John Hartford Memorial Festival 2019 Band Contest finalists CWE brings the foot-stomping good-times to audiences of all ages – just make sure to wear your dancing shoes!
Your safety is our top priority. This show will be capped at 25% capacity (including staff), following guidelines for public venues from the state and City of Milwaukee health departments. We have put in place comprehensive safety protocols that will be strictly followed, which you can review here.

The show will also be live streamed for free on our Facebook page, YouTube channel and website, courtesy of JamGrass TV

All proceeds go to support Pabst Theater Group venues + artist. You can also support the band through Venmo (@ChickenWireEmpire) and Paypal (chickenwireempire@gmail.com).

We are excited to take the first step in bringing live shows back safely and responsibly. We still need your help to keep the Pabst Theater Group alive while the Pabst Theater, Riverside Theater and Back Room @ Colectivo remain closed. Thank you for your continued support as we #ReviveLiveMKE!
