Statewide Remote to Focus on 2012 Election
MILWAUKEE, WI – Listeners from around the state are invited to join Wisconsin Public Radio (WPR) hosts Joy Cardin and Kathleen Dunn for a live broadcast on October 17 that spotlights the 2012 Election. The morning promises a thorough discussion on key election issues including healthcare, the economy, and issues vital to younger voters. The shows will also touch on lighter topics, such as voting for the official food of Wisconsin.
The statewide broadcast will take place on Wednesday, October 17, 6am-11am and originate from the Cudahy Pub, inside the historic Pabst Theater, located at 144 East Wells Street in downtown Milwaukee. Members of the public are invited to arrive anytime between the 6am-11am broadcast and stay as long as they wish. Both Joy and Kathleen will be taking listener calls from around the state and invite members of the live audience to ask questions during the broadcast.
“Each day we invite our audience to join the conversation on the radio. I am looking forward to the opportunity to engage with some of our listeners in-person. It’s always nice to put a face to a voice!,” says Joy Cardin, host of The Joy Cardin Show, who broadcasts from Madison 6am-9am Monday-Friday. Kathleen Dunn echoes, “I broadcast live from our studios in downtown Milwaukee and I’m looking forward to meeting listeners from the city and around the state.” The Kathleen Dunn Show is heard statewide from 9am-11am Monday-Thursday.
The live broadcast is free and people are encouraged to RSVP at wpr.org/Milwaukee. The Ideas Network includes 19 stations throughout Wisconsin, including 90.7 WHAD-FM in Milwaukee. It can also be heard online at wpr.org.
