A Nation Engaged: Pre-Inauguration Conversation

WUWM’s Mitch Teich and WPR’s Kyla Calvert Mason
with NPR’s Don Gonyea

Wed., January 11
Doors Open at 6:30PM / Event 7PM

The Back Room @ Colectivo Coffee

On Wednesday January 11, Capital Public Radio (California), WUNC (North Carolina), Houston Public Media, Wisconsin Public Radio and Milwaukee Public Radio, will hold live town hall events to explore where America goes from here as the new President is set to be inaugurated. These community events will bring together people from across the electorate to address this question: What do you want the new President to know about you or your community as he takes office?

Each event will be co-hosted by an NPR reporter who covered the 2016 presidential campaign: Sam Sanders in California, Asma Khalid in North Carolina, Sarah McCammon in Texas, and Don Gonyea in Wisconsin. Then the week of January 16, WBUR’s On Point will host a live national call-in program around the same question that builds on the community events hosted the prior week by including guests or tape from those events on its national call-in show.
