Comedians of Chelsea Lately
The Sklar Brothers
Growing up outside of St. Louis , Randy & Jason Sklar had a typical suburban upbringing – playing soccer and baseball after school, hanging out with friends. Then they found comedy.
Moving to New York in 1994, the brothers worked at a variety of jobs during the day to support their comedy performances at night. Within a few years, they began to develop their unique style – "a tag team delivery in which one talks over the end of the other’s sentence, completing, adding to or reaffirming his comment (much like the raps of The Beastie Boys)," wrote Neil Strauss of the New York Times. “Their comedy accepts the reality of being twins but does not use it as a crutch. Instead," noted Strauss, "they work with their physical and mental similarities and correspondences,
their status as imperfect carbon copies of each other. In their comedy, the straight man is often an echo."
With a Comedy Central Special under their belts plus numerous TV appearances including ESPN’s The Cheap Seats, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Entourage & It’s Always Sunny Philadelphia are one of Comedy’s most unique teams.
Sarah Colonna
Sarah grew up in Arkansas, and moved to Los Angeles in pursuit of Acting and Stand Up Comedy. She has been working regularly in both fields for some time now. She is currently a writer and roundtable regular on the hit late night talk show “Chelsea Lately.”
Sarah’s first TV appearance was on Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend,” hosted by Harland Williams. She became a regular on the SciFi channel’s popular hidden camera show “Scare Tactics” with Shannen Doherty, where she teamed
up with Shannen and other cast members
to scare the hell out of unsuspecting people.
Jo Koy
With his catchy phrase, “I Love Orange Chicken,” Jo Koy continues to embark on a comedy career that transcends his goals. Recently named as one of the “10 comics to watch” of 2007 by Daily Variety, comedian Jo Koy continues to raise his fame and stature in the comedy and entertainment world. His dynamic energy on stage yet charismatic and approachable persona off it has fans hailing him as “a comic for the people.”
While on stage, he mixes a lively physical presence with full energy, sharp observational humor, and inspirational-family-based laughs. His unique energetic stand up comedy performance is a big hit with fans of all ages and racial backgrounds. In 2005, Jo Koy received his highest honor after his performance on Jay Leno’s Tonight Show.
That night, Koy became one of only a select
few ever to receive a standing ovation in the history of the show.
Chuy
Now famous as the personal assistant of basic-cable TV hostess Chelsea Handler, Chuy Bravo’s path to Hollywood stardom was long and arduous—mainly because he has little nugget legs, so it takes him twice as long to get anywhere. Born Jesus Melgoza, Chuy’s first exposure to Hollywood was as a young man, when the production of The Three Amigos rolled into his tiny Mexican village, which led to a temporary job arranging nightly hookers for the production crew.
